ADA - Auto Damage Assessment
Working together with a UK top 10 insurer, Dataforce developed ‘Auto Damage Assessment’ (‘ADA’). It is seen as a vital part of the First Notification of Loss process. With the complexities of vehicle manufacture, associated repair processes and the challenge of meeting increasing customer expectations and service review initiatives, it is now more important than ever to identify whether a damaged vehicle is economically repairable at the first possible opportunity.
Most first notification calls are to customer service agents, not motor engineers, so they need a tool to assist them in assessing vehicle damage. The ADA product captures the vehicle damage in schematic form, with a simple ‘point and click’ process to indicate areas and severity of damage. It also acquires a pre-accident value for the vehicle real-time and is being developed to allocate the repair salvage category objectively from the data captured at FNOL.
The application assesses the approximate repair cost at the click of a button, and provides an indication of whether the vehicle is repairable based on the preaccident value of it, allowing first time steerage to supply chain partners. It is designed to be flexible to the principal’s needs and provides repair period estimates. It is available as a stand-alone browser-based application or it can be integrated as a part of the principal’s own system.
Benefits include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reduced claim lifecycle, with accurate reserving at first notification
- TCF compliant, allowing real time management of consumer expectations
- Real time vehicle values and opportunities for enhanced TP intervention
- Real time estimates of repair period at FNOL
